Corporate IT works a whole different way.

Firstly, you keep a database with all manner of useful and important things on it.

With this, there is a separate storage area allowing you to import and hold said important data.

One day you come into work and ... it's gone!

Your I.T. department has deleted it with no reason, without checking and without the owner’s permission it's gone.

Ahhh the pain, the anguish.

You phone IT, you get a drone on the other line who is incapable of spelling his own name let alone yours.

You tell your manager what has happened, who tells your director, who tells your MD, who says "FIX IT NOW!".

You trawl through the directory of employees to find this elusive IT Administrator.

You find him, you ring.

Through a sea of red, all you hear is Belgium.

You phone the entire country of Belgium and they tell you he is hiding in the Netherlands.

You meet with the board of directors and the MD. they agree, go to the Netherlands and track down this fiend.

You buy the first ticket to Holland.

Leaving the airport with a cheap Swiss army knife knock off.

You journey into the forest.

Here you find a mighty tree and tear off one of the branches.

You fashion a spear from the mighty tree’s fallen limb. Sharp and

deadly.

Then to the office where this IT administrator hides.

You kick in the doors to the office yelling "Where is my fucking data!".

Out of the corner of your eye, a rat-faced weaselly man appears.

It's him!

You hurl the spear piercing the creature’s chest.

In a single bound, you leap across the office on to the dying body.

Using the spear, you pry open his chest and yank out his still beating heart.

You take a glorious bite out of it.

Then what can only be described as an orangutan-man, (say Keith for ease) appears asking "what's wrong?".

Still holding the now still heart you notice he is wearing a T-Shirt (see post above).

Calmly you say "where is my fucking data!"...

Fallout 4 Automatron DLC Review

If you've been following us on twitter you may have noticed the large volumes of Fallout tweets that I've been putting out in the run up to Fallout 4's Automatron DLC. Which I have to say I was massively excited for.


The DLC starts with you receiving a distress signal from a trading caravan which is under attack by a swarm of unfamiliar robots. You quickly dispatch these robots to find the only survivor is a robot named ADA. she explains that they've been attacked three times by robots who all report to work for the Mechanist. You form an alliance with ADA and set off into the commonwealth to track down and stop this Mechanist.
Now the game reintroduces a robot that was mysteriously absent from the main Fallout 4 game. The Robobrain. If you played the third game these adversaries were all over the capital wastelands. But their absence is key to this story.
Back to the story, ADA tells you that you need to gather components, beacons etc to allow you to find the Mechanists base of operations. There are groups of robots being controlled by Robobrains. Now if you know anything about how and why the Fallout universe is like it is you'll know that they never invented the transistor, microchip etc.
This means they would have to look for more innovative ways to get processing power. Enter the Robobrain! A human brain suspended in a bio-gel acting as a CPU.
After defeating your first Robobrain you get the Robot workstation, time to build some bad ass robots. You get to mix up machines from Protectron to Mr. Gutsy's. When constructing the robots are broken up into heads, torsos, arms and legs. Then there are weapon slots armour upgrades and special addons. Let your imagination run wild with possibilities only to have them dashed by the lack of resources you've gathered and spent on your ungrateful settlements.
Into the fray and off to Fort Hagen's Satellite array to track down the last Robobrain so you can gain entry to the Mechanists lair.
After meeting the new Rust Devils and fighting your way through the Robot hordes now infesting the array, you finally get to Jezebel an honest and rather rude Robobrain imprisoned by the Rust Devils. Who then bargains for a new body and will grant you access into the Mechanist's lair.
The Mechanist's lair is huge, and maybe one of the biggest levels I have ever played in a Fallout game. It's got research level's, holding cells, offices, recycling, and assembly with a whole host of robotic foes to fight.
As you make your way through the level you begin to uncover the secrets behind the Robobrains. The brains used aren't from cloned tissues but harvested from a variety of mentally questionable donors and possibly feral ghouls?
Then you reach the final showdown with the Mechanist. Remember to wear your Silver Shroud costume, which I sadly forgot. So I was never exposed to the comic book showdown. After blasting and committing a metric tonne of robots to scrap metal. You then confront the Mechanist and.. I've never seen this person before. I was hoping it would have been one of the inhabitants of Canterbury Commons.
That's pretty much the extent of the DLC. Now there are packs of robots roaming the commonwealth, along with Rust Devils and you now get to build your own robots
Like fluffy



I love Fallout so I have a bias towards it, and really enjoyed the DLC. It added more to the game and was a good overall experience. It did feel short for Fallout but comparing this to other pieces of DLC it's not short.
I recommend this for anyone who has played through Fallout 3, 4 or new Vegas twice.

I give this a full 5 out of 5

The game revolves around Harry an interplanetary exterminator.



Humanity has gone to the stars to look for new life and new civilisations but instead found hordes of uncompromising alien bugs who want to chew, burn and digest they way through the human race.
Harry is called out to a scientific outpost where they have been conducting experiments on these enigmatic entomological entities. As with the age-old Icarus cliche something has gone wrong, and the bugs are running amok in the labs, and parking garages, and lifts.
So break out 'Ol Faithful and prepare to do some extermination Dalek style!
